Bathroom and shower room fitting

Bathroom refits are part of what we do, and so is the tiling. One firm from the first pipe moved to the last grout line.

Covering Bexley, Sidcup, Welling and Dartford and the rest of our eighteen districts.

The whole room, not just the plumbing

A bathroom refit is four or five trades pretending to be one. Old suite out, waste and supply pipework moved to suit the new layout, walls made good, tray or bath set dead level, enclosure fitted square, tiling, silicone, and the electrics for lighting, shaver points and extraction.

The shower room in the photograph above is ours, and so is the tiling in it. That matters more than it sounds. When one firm carries the plumbing, the tiling and the electrical side, nobody stands in your hallway explaining that the next part is somebody else’s problem.

Turning a bathroom into a shower room

It is the most common request there is at the moment, usually because a bath nobody uses is taking up half a small room. The practical questions are where the waste runs, whether the tray can be set low enough without lifting the floor, and whether the existing supply can deliver a shower that is actually worth standing under.

That last one catches people out. A gravity fed system with the cylinder in the airing cupboard and the tank in the loft may not have the head for a decent flow upstairs. There are answers to that, but they need deciding before the tiles go on, not after.

Toilets, basins and the small jobs

Not everything is a full refit. Swapping a toilet, replacing a cistern that will not stop filling, changing a basin and pedestal for a vanity unit, refreshing tired grout and silicone: those are day jobs, they are worth doing properly, and they are quoted the same way as anything else.

Bathrooms: common questions

Do you tile as well, or do I need a tiler?

We tile. The shower room on this page was tiled by us as well as plumbed by us, and it is one of the reasons a refit here does not turn into three separate bookings.

How long is a room out of action?

It depends entirely on the size of the room and how much pipework has to move. We will give you the honest run of days in the written quote rather than a number that sounds good on the phone.

Can you fit a suite I have already bought?

Yes. Plenty of people buy their own suite and tiles. Just have it on site before the first day, because a missing waste kit stops everything.
